The Voice Mexico Star Jerry Demara Dies Aged 42; Singer Was In ‘Unbearable Pain’ Post Vitamin Buttocks Injections

Popular singer from The Voice Mexico, Jerry Demara breathed his last at a hospital in Brawley, California on Monday. He was 42 years old. Daily Mail reported that the singer-songwriter died in ‘unbearable pain’ after improperly injecting vitamins into his buttocks. Jerry Demara's wife Claudia Plascencia said in a post on social media that Jerry had been ‘delirious and vomiting’ and was rushed to the hospital as he was in ‘unbearable’ pain.
She also wrote that he had undergone surgery, yet had continued to suffer from complications. She had asked her friends and followers to pray for Jerry’s speedy recovery. Two days before his death, Jerry Demara had shared a video on his Facebook, that he had recorded from the hospital, in which he informed fans that he was in the hospital after taking the vitamin injections. He said that by mistake, he had injected himself with vitamins on three different days.
“I put the last injection the day before yesterday but on the same side,” Daily Mail quoted Demara saying in his Facebook video. However, he did not mention what kind of vitamins he used. He also said that he was in incredible pain and that he had it for six hours.
“I am in incredible pain. I have had it for six hours. You can see how I am,” he said in Spanish and looked visibly unwell in the video. He said he was feeling a sense of helplessness. He appeared in the popular musical reality show The Voice Mexico aka La Voz in 2012.
